According to media reports quoting Egyptair on 19 May 2016, EgyptAir Airbus A320 Flight MS804 disappeared off radar some 10 miles (16km) after entering Egypt's airspace. The plane, said to be carrying 69 people on board, 59 passengers and 10 crew members, took off from France's Charles de Gaulle airport on 18 May night and was expected to land in Cairo on 19 May early morning. According to the airline's twitter account, they contacted the concerned authorities and bodies for inspections through rescue teams.
